Rare Earth Prices - September 7, 2026

Rare earth market update on September 7, 2026

On Monday, domestic rare earth prices fluctuated within a narrow range, with the prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide, praseodymium-neodymium metal, and dysprosium oxide consolidating at approximately RMB 736,000/ton, RMB 889,000/ton, and RMB 1,460,000/ton, respectively.

Under this market condition, traders had low enthusiasm for entering the market, actual transaction volumes were relatively small, and industry participants' confidence in the future market was somewhat insufficient. According to CTIA GROUP, affected by factors such as high production difficulty, relatively high energy prices, and limited downstream demand, some rare earth manufacturers have reduced output, and low-priced sources in the market have become increasingly tight.

Seven departments including the Cyberspace Administration of China: jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for Promoting the Synergistic Transformation and Development of Digitalization and Greenization (2026-2030)." By 2030, the advantages of artificial intelligence in low cost and high efficiency will become more prominent, deeply empowering green and low-carbon technology innovation and industrial development. Energy efficiency in emerging fields such as computing facilities and 5G base stations will be greatly improved, and digitalization and greenization in key areas such as agriculture, manufacturing, trade, consumption, and urban operations will be deeply advanced.
