Rare Earth Prices - July 2, 2026

Rare earth market update on July 2, 2026

Domestic rare earth prices are generally fluctuating within a reasonable range. The increased willingness of downstream buyers to purchase at low prices, the reduction in output of some rare earth oxides in June, and strong cost support have all, to some extent, boosted suppliers' confidence in holding back sales and expecting price increases. However, since overall downstream demand still falls short of expectations, the upside room for product prices is limited. Today, the prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide, praseodymium-neodymium metal, and gadolinium oxide all increased by about RMB 5,000/ton.

In the long term, with the rapid development of emerging industries such as new energy and robotics, the future market demand for rare earth functional materials is expected to increase. In 2025, China's export of industrial robots increased by 48.7% year-on-year, and for the first time exceeded imports, making China a net exporter of industrial robots. In the first quarter of 2026, China's robot exports reached RMB 11.32 billion. Among them, industrial robot exports reached RMB 3.16 billion, increased by 42% year-on-year.

In terms of news, the world's first torch made using rare earth materials was recently unveiled. This innovative product fully demonstrates the hard-core technological strength of China's "World Rare Earth Capital" in the high-end application of rare earths.
