Rare Earth Market - February 6, 2026

Rare earth market update on February 6, 2026

This week, the domestic rare earth market overall showed significant fluctuations.

Amid the influence of numerous uncertainty factors, price trends of mainstream light and heavy rare earth products varied, with transaction volume still needing improvement. In the light rare earth market, praseodymium-neodymium prices exhibited a pattern of first sharp rise, then rational callback, and then rebound: at the beginning of the week, affected by the obvious price rise in praseodymium-neodymium at the end of last month, suppliers continued to raise quotations; in the middle of the week, due to increased resistance from downstream users to high-priced goods and weakening previous bullish support, product quotations rationally fell back; towards the weekend, with traders' speculative bullish sentiment remaining undiminished, praseodymium-neodymium prices rose again. In the medium and heavy rare earth market, affected by the relatively favorable trend in the light rare earth market, gadolinium and holmium prices rose to some extent, but terbium and dysprosium prices fluctuated within a reasonable range.

According to CTIA GROUP LTD statistics, this week praseodymium-neodymium oxide prices increased by approximately RMB 5,000/ton, up 0.67%; praseodymium-neodymium metal prices increased by approximately RMB 10,000/ton, up 1.10%; terbium oxide prices showed no obvious changes; dysprosium oxide prices decreased by approximately RMB 30,000/ton, down 2.08%; 55N neodymium-iron-boron blank prices showed no obvious changes; neodymium-iron-boron scrap (praseodymium-neodymium) prices decreased by approximately RMB 10/kg, down 1.33%.
