Rare earth market update on February 9, 2026

On Monday, domestic rare earth prices were locally stable with some slight increases, among which praseodymium oxide and neodymium oxide prices increased by approximately RMB 3,000/ton and RMB 5,000/ton respectively.

From the supply side, affected by stricter environmental policies, declining mine grades, and production reductions or suspensions at some rare earth manufacturers, spot supply of praseodymium-neodymium remained relatively tight. From the demand side, with the growing atmosphere of the approaching Spring Festival and limited working capital among downstream rare earth enterprises, market demand was relatively low.
