Rare Earth Prices - July 21, 2026

Rare earth market update on July 21, 2026

The overall domestic rare earth prices fluctuated within a narrow range, with the price of praseodymium oxide at approximately RMB 820,000/ton, the price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide at approximately RMB 766,000/ton, the price of terbium oxide at approximately RMB 6,900,000/ton, and the price of dysprosium-iron alloy at approximately RMB 1,380,000/ton.

According to CTIA GROUP, the current traditional consumption off-season, generally tight working capital for downstream rare earth production enterprises, and weak short-term market expectations are multiple factors jointly causing market demand to fall short of expectations, with product prices lacking upward momentum. However, due to strong production cost support, good development prospects for emerging industries, and the difficulty of increasing future rare earth raw material supply, suppliers have low willingness to make concessions.

In terms of news, recently, Northern Rare Earth successfully built and put into operation a batch production demonstration line for rare earth giant magnetostrictive materials, solving the difficult problem of batch manufacturing of high-end rare earth giant magnetostrictive materials at once, helping the rare earth industry move from traditional raw material supply to high-end core application fields such as aerospace, deep-sea exploration, and precision braking.
