Rare Earth Prices - July 13, 2026

Rare earth market update on July 13, 2026

On Monday, the overall domestic rare earth prices fluctuated within narrow ranges, among which the prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide, praseodymium-neodymium metal, and erbium oxide all increased by approximately RMB 5,000/ton.

According to CTIA GROUP, affected by factors such as strong efforts to combat illegal mining, extreme weather, and relatively high energy prices, the capacity release pace of some rare earth mining and smelting enterprises has slowed down. Coupled with the limited import volume of rare earth products in China, the growth rate of spot market supply has been further reduced, which also provides support for suppliers' confidence in firming up prices. However, due to the current traditional consumption off-season and tight funding of downstream rare earth production enterprises, market demand is relatively low, so traders should maintain cautious operations.

In terms of news, recently China Northern Rare Earth (Group) High-Tech Co., Ltd. issued an announcement stating that according to the rare earth concentrate pricing method and the rare earth oxide prices in the second quarter of 2026, the transaction price of rare earth concentrate for the third quarter of 2026 is adjusted to RMB 38,565/ton (dry basis, REO=50%) excluding tax, decreased by 0.62% month-on-month, increased by 101.82% year-on-year; for every 1% increase or decrease in REO, the price excluding tax increases or decreases by RMB 771.30/ton, decreased by 0.62% month-on-month, increased by 101.82% year-on-year.
