Rare Earth Market - July 9, 2026

Rare earth market update on July 9, 2026

The overall domestic rare earth market maintained a stable operation. With downstream users basically purchasing on demand and suppliers having low willingness to reduce prices for shipments, trading activity in the market was relatively light, product prices fluctuated within a narrow range, and new orders were limited.

Today, the prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide, terbium oxide, and holmium oxide increased to RMB 760,000/ton, RMB 6,800,000/ton, and RMB 565,000/ton, respectively. Under this market condition, most industry insiders expect that short-term rare earth prices lack significant upward momentum.

In terms of news, data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that in June 2026, the national producer price index for industrial products increased by 4.1% year-on-year, and the purchasing price index for industrial producers increased by 6.4% year-on-year. Among them, in the producer price index for industrial products, prices in the mining industry increased by 16.5%, the raw material industry increased by 8.6%, and the processing industry increased by 3.0%; in the purchasing price index for industrial producers, prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wires increased by 21.6%, fuel and power materials increased by 11.8%, chemical raw materials increased by 11.5%, and ferrous metal materials increased by 1.3%; prices of building materials and non-metallic materials decreased by 4.8%.
