Rare Earth Market - June 26, 2026

Rare earth market update on June 26, 2026

This week, the price trends of mainstream light and medium-heavy rare earth products in the domestic market varied slightly. Among them, praseodymium-neodymium prices fluctuated upward, while dysprosium and terbium prices remained stable.

In the light rare earth market, the increase in downstream inquiries and strong support from production costs largely strengthened suppliers' confidence in raising quotations. In the medium-heavy rare earth market, overall trading activity remained relatively weak. As downstream buyers mainly purchased based on immediate demand, most suppliers did not make significant proactive price adjustments. Prices of dysprosium and terbium series products remained stable within a certain range, with limited new orders.

According to statistics from CTIA GROUP, the price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide increased by approximately RMB 12,000/ton, an increase of 1.67%; the price of praseodymium-neodymium metal increased by approximately RMB 30,000/ton, an increase of 3.43%; the price of terbium oxide increased by approximately RMB 20,000/ton, an increase of 0.31%; the price of dysprosium oxide decreased by approximately RMB 10,000/ton, a decrease of 0.70%; the price of 55N NdFeB blanks decreased by approximately RMB 5/kg, a decrease of 1.74%; and the price of NdFeB scrap (Pr-Nd) showed no significant fluctuation.

In terms of policy, the 15th Five-Year Plan for the Construction of a New Energy System proposes that a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient new energy system will be basically established by 2030. The plan sets out the main objectives for the construction of the new energy system during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Among them, comprehensive energy production capacity will reach 5.8 billion tons of standard coal equivalent, the complementary coordination and security resilience of the power system will be comprehensively enhanced, and energy imports will become more persified and controllable. Coal and oil consumption will peak, the share of non-fossil energy consumption will reach 25%, wind and solar power installed capacity will account for more than 50% of total installed capacity and become the main source of power capacity, while non-fossil energy generation will account for 50% of total electricity generation and become the main source of electricity output.
