Wolframite Concentrate Price Raised - July 20, 2026

Analysis of Latest Tungsten Market from Chinatungsten Online

On Monday, tungsten prices remained stable as market participants adopted a wait-and-see approach. While some quotes tested higher levels, actual transaction volumes remained limited.

Stakeholders across the industry chain are facing a dual challenge: the limits of cost tolerance and the reality of actual demand. Market sentiment remains divided, with attention focused on the upcoming long-term procurement prices from major tungsten enterprises and the release of June import/export data for tungsten products.

In the tungsten raw material market, supply is highly concentrated, and holders are reluctant to sell at low prices, providing a floor supported by costs. However, downstream procurement cycles have lengthened, and buyers are strongly inclined to wait and see. Transactions are driven primarily by essential needs, with no signs of significant volume surges. Amidst this market standoff, liquidity is tight and short-term direction is unclear, pending further news.

The tungsten scrap market is currently driven more by sentiment than by confirmed transactions. Holders of high-cost inventory are unwilling to sell at lower prices, and recent signals of raw material prices bottoming out have pushed market quotes upward. Conversely, buyers are largely adopting a wait-and-see stance in the face of frequent price fluctuations, limiting the potential for increased trading volume.
