Tungsten Waste and Scrap Prices Fall– March 24, 2026

Analysis of Latest Tungsten Market from Chinatungsten Online

The tungsten market is exhibiting divergent trends, traders remain cautious, and the overall trading atmosphere is subdued.

Currently, three primary variables are influencing tungsten price movements. First are supply and demand dynamics: both market supply and the pace of demand release are sluggish, creating a persistent tug-of-war within the fundamentals; market participants remain alert to potential profit-taking and periodic selling pressure. Second are capital-related factors: diminished market risk appetite and tightening liquidity are exacerbating short-term price volatility. Third are macroeconomic variables: instability in the global political and economic landscape is intensifying the "wait-and-see" sentiment among capital investors both within and outside the industry.

Prices for tungsten raw materials remain relatively stable for the time being, though bullish and bearish viewpoints continue to clash. The pace of supply release remains slow, while purchasing appetite on the demand side is similarly weak; amidst this supply-demand standoff, prices currently lack upward momentum, yet also appear to have little room for significant downward adjustment.

The tungsten waste and scrap market is performing weakly, facing cash flow pressures and pessimistic outlooks, some holders are engaging in panic selling, causing the focal point of market bargaining to shift further downward.

On the macroeconomic front, the surge in oil prices—triggered by tensions in the Middle East—has sparked global concerns regarding stagflation. The resulting sharp volatility in stock and commodity markets has, to some extent, dampened speculative interest within the tungsten market. Notably, rising energy costs could ripple down the industrial chain, further intensifying cost pressures on mid-stream and downstream enterprises within the tungsten industry.
