Analysis of Latest Tungsten Market from Chinatungsten Online

The tungsten market's boom continues. Market optimism stems primarily from policy and sentiment-driven constraints on the supply side, the strengthening of tungsten's strategic and critical mineral resource status, and increased capital allocation preferences, all supporting the robust price trend. 

According to statistics from China Tungsten Online, as of press time, in just two months since the beginning of 2026, the prices of tungsten raw materials have increased by approximately 85%, while the price of tungsten waste and scrap have risen by 120%.

However, this high market sentiment is also accompanied by accumulating risks. On March 2nd, several listed tungsten companies issued announcements regarding abnormal stock price fluctuations, warning of risks associated with the recent rapid rise in stock prices and reminding investors to be aware of secondary market trading risks.

As of press time, 

65% wolframite concentrate is priced at RMB 850,000/ton, up 84.8% from the beginning of the year.

65% scheelite concentrate is priced at RMB 849,000/ton, up 85.0% from the beginning of the year.

Ammonium paratungstate (APT) is priced at RMB 1,260,000/ton, up 88.1% from the beginning of the year.

European APT is priced at USD 1890-1998/mtu (equivalent to RMB 1.149-1.214 million/ton), up 111.3% from the beginning of the year.

Tungsten powder is priced at RMB 2000/kg, up 85.2% from the beginning of the year.

Tungsten carbide powder is priced at RMB 1940/kg, up 86.5% from the beginning of the year.

Cobalt powder is priced at RMB 580/kg, up 11.5% from the beginning of the year.

70% ferrotungsten is priced at RMB 1.2 million/ton, up 84.6% from the beginning of the year.

European ferrotungsten is priced at USD 209-230/kg W (equivalent to RMB 1.005-1.054 million/ton), up 59.6% from the beginning of the year.

Scrap tungsten rods are priced at RMB 1320/kg, up 120.0% from the beginning of the year.

Scrap tungsten drill bits are priced at RMB 1300/kg, up 124.1% from the beginning of the year.
