Dart Specifications

Tungsten alloy dart general weight is 10.51-36.47g; the dart shaft diameter is generally 5.65-8.74 mm; the length is 35.6 56mm; the weight is 13.20 to 18.

In international dart competitions, dart length should not exceed 30.5mm, the weight of hard dart cannot exceed 50 grams, and the weight of soft dart cannot exceed 18 grams.

The hard darts that players usually used, most of the weight of it is 19-25 grams, and some individual dart players may use dart that weight is about 28 grams to 30 grams. Whereas soft dart range of choice is relatively smaller, generally is 16-20 grams.

The dart body is made of plastic, brass, nickel alloy and tungsten alloy, of which tungsten alloy darts are made of tungsten nickel alloy. Tungsten alloy dart shaft is widely used as standard material for dart barrels. They are cylindrical tungsten alloy rods which are treated by grinding without grinding. Their weight is different according to the rod size and tungsten content.

According to material to distinguish dart, it will have different mixing ratio of copper, silver, nickel, tungsten alloy, ranging from 65%--95%. The metal dart component containing tungsten is about 65%, 70%, 75%, 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%. The more the content is, the higher the cost of production is, so the price will be naturally increased.

We know that the international game weight restrictions on hard darts is 50 grams, considering that the dart weight that most players use, the appropriate average dart weight is 20-24 grams, that is, this is a moderate weight. The dart weight in international competition cap is 50g, widely used is 20-24g. It can be called heavy dart if it’s more than 24g, and light dart is below 20g.

Tungsten alloy dart shaft, tungsten proportion of 70%~90%, is commonly used in producing soft and hard darts. There are also special tungsten alloy dart shaft with tungsten content of 65% and 95~97%, if required. Tungsten alloy dart would be slender and have more centers of gravity compared with the other dart whose weight is also 18g.  It reduce the probability of the dart intercollision.
