The main processing method of wolframite is called gravity separation method which is divided into roughing filtering - gravity filtering - featured filtering three stages. The jigging operation is one of the important flows of gravity separation. 

The recovery quantity of tungsten concentrate during jigging generally accounts for more than 50% of the total separating numbers.So important that the process is, it is essential to choose the sawtooth pulsation jig. Jig have diaphragm jig, hydraulic agitation jig, free piston jig and movable sieve jig four types. Here we introduce a new diaphragm jig and sawtooth wave jig.

 

Sawtooth wave jig is a new type of diaphragm jigging machine in recent years. The traditional jig which uses the eccentric link’s transmission to instigate flow generating sinusoidal fluctuation curve has changed by sawtooth wave jig. Sawtooth wave jig changed the traditional sinusoidal fluctuation curve to the fluctuating curve type sawtooth wave, hence the name.

 

By using a sawtooth wave generator, sawtooth wave jig drive the moving pyramid which is under the jig to make the flow wave regularly and generates a sawtooth waved pulsating curve. Sawtooth waved pulsating curve are proved to have much incomparable advantages for the recovery of fine materials, comparing to sinusoidal fluctuation curve. The effective recovery extends the mine diaphragm jig’s lower size of recuperated particles. Secondly, as for the jigging milling for a certain size range materials without grading, the sawtooth waved pulsating curve does a better job than sinusoidal fluctuation curve.

 

The advantage of sawtooth wave jig is that it can recover fine-grained material. But it also has its own short board, the first is that the sawtooth wave generator of sawtooth wave jig can’t produce large impact stroke and high jig frequency, which become the inferior position when deal with a large quantities of things. Secondly, with the design of sawtooth wave jig, it is very difficult for this jig to deal with coarse-grained material, so in the application of tungsten mine, sawtooth wave jig is more suitable to deal with tailings.
