Rare earth market update on June 22, 2026

On Monday, the overall domestic rare earth market maintained a stable and slightly strong operation, mainly manifested in high enthusiasm for inquiry and procurement from buyers, strong willingness of sellers to hold back goods and firm up prices, product prices showing a pattern of being easy to rise but hard to fall, and a relatively fast growth rate of spot orders.

Today, the prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide, erbium oxide, and dysprosium oxide are approximately RMB 718,000/ton, RMB 467,000/ton, and RMB 1,430,000/ton, respectively. In the medium and heavy rare earth market, influenced by factors such as limited imports from Myanmar mines and speculative news, suppliers have a strong mentality of holding goods and waiting for price increases.

In terms of news: The "Implementation Plan for Promoting the Large-Scale Application of New Energy Heavy-Duty Trucks" clarifies that by 2030, the penetration rate of new energy heavy-duty trucks will reach 40%, with the number of vehicles in use exceeding 1.6 million units, accounting for approximately 20% of the total; the proportion of electrified fixed-route short-distance transportation in areas such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Fenwei Plain will exceed 80%; in conjunction with the expressway network, charging and energy replenishment facilities for electric heavy-duty trucks will be built to create zero-carbon highway transport corridors, supporting and guiding the construction of approximately 3,000 heavy-duty truck charging and swapping stations, and guiding the scientific layout of hydrogen refueling stations and green fuel refueling stations in key scenarios; the proportion of new energy heavy-duty truck freight volume on expressways will reach 18%; and an infrastructure, technical equipment, supporting services, standards and specifications, and policy guarantee system adapted to the large-scale application of new energy heavy-duty trucks will be established, forming a promotion mechanism with multi-department coordination and multi-entity collaboration.
