Rare earth market update on February 12, 2026

The domestic rare earth prices overall showed a mixed pattern of rises and falls. Amid the influence of numerous uncertainty factors, some light rare earth product prices experienced high-level pullbacks, while some medium and heavy rare earth product prices continued to rise, with relatively light market transactions.

Today, praseodymium-neodymium oxide and praseodymium-neodymium metal prices decreased by approximately RMB 15,000/ton and RMB 20,000/ton respectively, while terbium oxide and dysprosium oxide prices increased by approximately RMB 100,000/ton and RMB 50,000/ton respectively. Driven by the obvious upward adjustment in praseodymium-neodymium raw material prices recently, prices of rare earth permanent magnet materials also rose to some extent, with 55N neodymium-iron-boron blank block prices increased by approximately RMB 10/kg. According to CTIA GROUP LTD, with the growing atmosphere of the approaching Spring Festival, some rare earth manufacturers have reduced output, while some downstream users' enthusiasm for inquiries and procurement has slightly declined.

On the news front: Recently, according to the official website of the Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, in January 2026 the average sales prices per ton of high-yttrium oxide (rare earth) and medium-yttrium europium oxide (rare earth) in Ganzhou were RMB 185,000 and RMB 185,000 respectively, increased by 2.78% and 2.78% month-on-month, and decreased by 1.60% year-on-year for high-yttrium oxide while increased by 10.12% year-on-year for medium-yttrium europium oxide. In January, the average sales price per ton of Ganzhou tungsten concentrate was RMB 480,000, increased by 36.36% month-on-month and increased by 234.49% year-on-year.
