In terms of average prices, molybdenum concentrate average price was 3,995 yuan per ton-unit, increased by 4.09% month-on-month; the average price of ferromolybdenum was 255,217 yuan per ton, increased by 3.31% month-on-month; the average price of molybdenum oxide was 4,124 yuan per ton-unit, increased by 4.72% month-on-month; the average price of ammonium heptamolybdate was 247,174 yuan per ton, increased by 3.53% month-on-month; and the average price of molybdenum powder was 449 yuan per kilogram, increased by 2.05% month-on-month.

In July 2025, tungsten prices showed robust performance, with the average price of 65% black tungsten concentrate at 181,300 yuan per ton, increased by 5.10% month-on-month; the average price of ammonium paratungstate at 264,800 yuan per ton, increased by 5.04% month-on-month; the average price of tungsten powder at 396.13 yuan per kilogram, increased by 5.12% month-on-month; the average price of tungsten carbide powder at 387.00 yuan per kilogram, increased by 4.31% month-on-month; the average price of 70 ferrotungsten at 269,100 yuan per ton, increased by 4.71% month-on-month; and the average price of tungsten bars at 448.04 yuan per kilogram, increased by 5.42% month-on-month.

In July 2025, praseodymium-neodymium prices experienced volatile increases, while dysprosium-terbium prices rose initially and then declined. In terms of average prices, the average price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide was 476,739 yuan per ton, increased by 7.29% month-on-month; the average price of praseodymium-neodymium metal was 582,435 yuan per ton, increased by 6.85% month-on-month; the average price of terbium oxide was 7,151 yuan per kilogram, decreased by 0.42% month-on-month; and the average price of dysprosium-iron alloy was 1,607,826 yuan per ton, increased by 1.25% month-on-month.

In the first half of 2025, China’s molybdenum product exports were 19,220.53 tons, decreased by 3.86% year-on-year. Among these, molybdenum powder exports were 11.61 tons, decreased by 91.49%; molybdenum wire exports were 158.05 tons, increased by 10.96%; ferromolybdenum exports were 3,137.65 tons, decreased by 21.32%; ammonium molybdate exports were 189.20 tons, decreased by 33.32%; and other molybdenum products exports were 116.34 tons, decreased by 12.13%.

In the first half of 2025, China’s molybdenum product imports were 41,101.50 tons, increased by 22.19% year-on-year. Among these, molybdenum powder imports were 2.01 tons, increased by 4.08%; molybdenum wire imports were 19.79 tons, increased by 58.90%; ferromolybdenum imports were 2,821.46 tons, decreased by 28.61%; ammonium molybdate imports were 1,108.52 tons, increased by 205.45%; and other molybdenum products imports were 12.74 tons, increased by 24.01%.
