Rare earth market update on October 14, 2025

The domestic rare earth market is experiencing a general downward trend, with neodymium oxide price decreasing by approximately 20,000 yuan per ton, praseodymium-neodymium metal price by approximately 15,000 yuan per ton, and terbium oxide price by approximately 30,000 yuan per ton.

Recently, Northern Rare Earth issued an announcement stating that, based on the rare earth concentrate pricing method and rare earth oxide prices in Q4 2025, the rare earth concentrate trading price for the fourth quarter of 2025 has been adjusted to 26,205 yuan per ton (tax-exclusive, dry basis, REO=50%), increased by 37.13% month-on-month, increased by 47.37% year-on-year; for every 1% increase or decrease in REO, the tax-exclusive price increases or decreases by 524.10 yuan per ton, increased by 37.13% month-on-month, increased by 47.37% year-on-year.

Northern Rare Earth is expected to achieve a net profit attributable to owners of the parent company of 1,510 million yuan to 1,570 million yuan in the first three quarters of 2025, an increase of 1,105 million yuan to 1,165 million yuan compared to the same period last year, representing an increase of 272.54% to 287.34% year-on-year. The net profit attributable to owners of the parent company, excluding non-recurring gains and losses, is projected to be 1,330 million yuan to 1,390 million yuan, an increase of 1,064 million yuan to 1,124 million yuan compared to the same period last year, representing an increase of 399.90% to 422.46% year-on-year.
