And WO3 is the typical representative of the most recently studied cathode electrochromic materials. But do you know why inorganic electrochromic materials are used as heat insulation coatings instead of organic electrochromic materials for exterior glasses of buildings?

Crystalline WO3 film may be used to produce a highly transparent energy-saving smart glass, which has the functions of heat insulation, ultraviolet shielding, anti-glare and explosion protection. So, do you know the energy-saving mechanism (or electrochromic mechanism) of such energy-saving glass?

Ammonium metatungstate powder can be used to prepare amorphous WO3 film and crystalline WO3 film. And the prepared films can be used to assemble an electrochromic glass - a new type of environmentally-friendly building energy-saving smart glass. Such heat insulation glass can achieve the goal of heat insulation, heat preservation, energy conservation and consumption reduction.

AMT, short for ammonium metatungstate, is one of the important raw materials for obtaining building energy-saving smart glass – a type of electrochromic glass. For example, some experts used ammonium metatungstate as raw material to prepare WO3 electrochromic film, and they tested the electrochromic properties of prepared WO3 film in the three-electrode system, using 0.5M H2SO4 solution as electrolyte by applying 1.5V voltage.
